The winter of 2009/2010 saw a great many Redpolls in my garden feeding on and under the feeders.  Often they were accompanied by Siskins.

At the end of 2010 we had more atrocious weather - everything frozen under feet of snow.  I kept my pond pump running and fed heavily.  This brought an amazing number of birds to the garden including 8 redpolls daily.  Now (Feb 2011) I still have 4/5 redpolls regulary feeding but as the winter has progressed they are joined by siskins.
