| More recently Jan 2012 the Larch trees by the New Fancy car park provided good opportunities to see Crossbills but this time they were relatively high up in the trees. | ||

| The New Fancy view in the Forest of Dean is a great place for watching Goshawk and whilst you wait there is a good chance you will see crossbills. These very kindly landed right in front of us and because the viewpoint is the top of an old spoil heap they were at eye level. | ||
