| I like these birds and they nest in the garden. Once I chopped down a tree only to find a pair of chicks (nearly fledged) in a nest. The nest fell apart so I put it in a basket and stuffed it in the tree next to where the other had been. I put the chicks in the nest and left the parents to find them. The parents were quite wary but after about a day started to visit the nest and feed the youngsters. Good news - they flew away normally after a few more days. |
